Hi…I’m Elisabeth!

I was born in Michigan and raised on farms in Michigan and Oregon and learned how to do just about everything from my parents…except what to do with money. My college degree is in fitness and nutrition, which was my first great love and interest, I worked in the fitness industry until age 42 when I  realized there was a glaring hole in my education…I  knew virtually nothing about money!

About that time, as often happens in life when we’re ready to expand our bucket of wisdom and experience, someone gave me the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, by Robert Kiyosaki. As I’m reading it, light bulbs went off in my head. Teaching myself how to save and invest in my 40’s led to my passion and next career teaching kids, teens, parents and women about money and investing (and other important things about life) in a way that was engaging, experiential and way too much fun.

In 2002, I started Creative Wealth International (originally called The Money Camp for Kids) and created the innovative financial education programs Camp Millionaire, The Money Game and Moving Out! for Teens. Since then, I have trained people all over the globe how to teach my programs in order to empower kids, teens and adults to be responsible for themselves and their families while, just as importantly, making a difference in the lives of others and the world.

In addition to Life’s Little Wealth Journey, I am the author and creator of Money…The Instruction Manual, Ultimate Allowance and The Money Jars: Your Magical Money Management System.

I’m also the co-author of The Financial Wisdom Coloring Book for Kids and Parents with my partner Steve and his daughter, Shayla, and Rocks to Riches, with Jan Ruskin, an exciting kids financial adventure based on Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

One of my favorite things is inviting people of all ages to think differently about about health, food, money, and life. I live by my own motto, “I question, therefore I am.”
