Hi…I’m Stanley!

I grew up in Singapore, and like a lot of people who spend decades in the world of finance, I learned a tremendous amount about how money works in business, and far less than I should have about how to teach it to the next generation. That gap, it turns out, is exactly what led me here.

You know, I’ve spent over 30 years in financial services — working across Asia, Europe, and a few other markets along the way. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some well-regarded organisations: major life insurers, regional banks, global asset managers…all based across Southeast Asia. And on the public sector side, I’ve worked closely with several Singapore government agencies covering areas like service quality and client engagements change management and service recovery. I’ve come at it from both sides too, as a Chief Operating Officer leading from within, and as a senior external consultant brought in to drive change. Either way, the work has always been about the same things: helping organisations grow their revenue, untangle their operations, and build the kind of trust with clients that holds up over time. What I’ve learned after all those years? The technical side of finance is teachable. The thinking side…how people make decisions, how kids form their relationship with money, how families talk (or don’t talk) about financial responsibility…that’s where the real work is. And that’s exactly why I’m so excited to be bringing InnerWealth Education’s programs to Asia.

My background includes graduate studies in Management Science and postgraduate work in Organisational Behaviour, across institutions in London and Boston.” I’ve worked across Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK, the US, and Finland, and I currently serve as a Silver Infocomm Wellness Ambassador with Singapore’s IMDA and as a Consultant and Trainer for the Securities Investor Association of Singapore (SIAS), delivering national financial literacy and fraud prevention programmes.
