Holding On In An Off Economy

by | Feb 8, 2009

How are you doing? How is your family doing? If you’re in a relationship, how is IT doing?

If you’re struggling financially these day, not that it really helps your situation, just know you’re not alone. I talk to more people these days who aren’t making the kind of money they were used to and are experiencing more stress than usual.

What I can recommend is this: concentrate on getting through today. The more you contemplate months, or even years, of stress, the more overwhelmed and stressed you will probably feel.

Focus on making today work. Wake up grateful that you are alive and well and have the opportunity to do your best, be creative, figure it out. I always think of the saying that goes something like this…whatever doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger. Just do your best to remember to smell a few flowers along the way. Sometimes it’s the simple things that makes our days the best.
